REGISTER HERE!

Our next ride will be May 16th & 17th of 2026. Again a 2 day event with all pavement rides and gravel rides both days. $20 discount for 2 rides. Tent & camper van camping available.

Yreka, CA is located 22 miles south of the Oregon border on I-5 and is the county seat of Siskiyou County. Yreka's elevation is 2,595 ft. May is very pleasant with many wildflowers, but because of the elevation and the elevations you may climb, it is always best to be prepared for inclement weather. Siskiyou County is known for the Mt. Shasta Ski and Recreation Area, the Marble Mountain & Trinity Alps Wilderness Areas, trails, camping, bicycle touring and events, fishing, river rafting, historical districts, and now also has a casino in Yreka. Our website is www.siskiyouscenic.com. This is an open course road ride event. There are potholes, obstacles, railroad tracks, vehicles, traffic lights, signs, etc. Cyclists are responsible to be alert and obey all traffic laws. This event takes place no matter what the weather is like. Cyclists not comfortable riding under these conditions should not participate in the event.

The event is May 16th and 17th, 2026. There are 8 different rides. The longest is 102 miles, all pavement with 5,902 ft. of elev. gain, and goes over Forest Mountain into and through Scott Valley then over Gazelle Mountain and back to Yreka. This is our old traditional Siskiyou Century route. Challenging but gorgeous scenery.  There is a metric century, 67 mile route, all pavement, which goes to Edgewood and then back north, with 2,303 ft. of elevation gain- the same as last year's ride.  The 40 mile, all pavement route is 1,534 ft of elevation gain through Shasta Valley. The 21 mile  all pavement ride is 1,055 ft. of elevation gain through parts of Shasta Valley and Montague. We have 2 gravel rides on Sunday May 19th sponsored by the Jefferson Mountain Bike Association. A 39 mile mostly gravel route over Greenhorn Summit with 3 good hill climbs- with 4,114 ft. of elevation gain.  And a 62 mile mostly gravel route with 6,474 ft. of elevation gain over Greenhorn Summit into Ft. Jones then over Scarface and back to the west side of Shasta Valley. There is incredible scenery on all routes.  There is a $20 discount for registering for events both days.

We have added an all pavement ride of 29 to 38 miles on Sunday through Scott Valley and Quartz Valley with 1,033- 1,159 ft. of elevation gain that will start in Fort Jones at the Forest Service parking lot, and also a part gravel route on Saturday May 18th of 58 miles through Shasta Valley with 2,279 ft. of elevation gain,  so that those who only ride 1 type of bike can enjoy 2 days of riding in Siskiyou County, or maybe you want to do 1 day of pavement and 1 day of gravel.

All rides, except the Sunday pavement ride, start and finish at Upper Greenhorn Park, on Greenhorn Rd. In Yreka.
